As Europe's leading technology-driven debt collection service provider, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Kevin Yam as Chief Innovation and Technology Officer (CITO) and Managing Director as of 1 January 2024. Kevin Yam will assume responsibility in the area of technological innovation and thus exert a significant influence on the strategic direction of the coeo Group.
Kevin is characterised by an impressive academic career with a degree in physics and a PhD in theoretical physics from the Philipps University of Marburg. His equally impressive professional journey has taken him through various senior positions, including board roles in a debt collection company as well as working as a partner in a renowned software and consulting firm, where he drove the Data Analytics & AI division and was heavily involved in the financial industry.
In his role as CITO at the coeo Group, he will continue to drive forward the development and integration of state-of-the-art technologies in the field of generative artificial intelligence. This includes innovative applications such as chat and voicebots, large language models and AI platforms that have the potential to redefine the industry. In his vision for coeo, Kevin sees a clear path ahead: "We have the exciting task of navigating the company into the 'post-AI era', where advanced AI technologies are no longer seen as mere technical achievements, but as an integral and formative part of our company."
